Questions About Our Products
Event Carpet is a thin, flat carpet that is specifically designed for temporary and high-traffic usage. It is affordable, easy to install, and effective as a décor element or as floor protection. Available in 20+ colours and always in stock at our Toronto headquarters.
This carpet comes with a plastic cover. Your caterers and florists can walk all over it. You can even drive on it! Remove plastic just before the event for a perfect finish every time.
How is Event Carpet different from Plush Carpet?
Other rental companies usually offer plush carpet for rent on their events. This is the cheapest type of residential or commercial grade broadloom carpet. It usually comes in a few muted colours. The carpet is reused on many events, then cleaned, then replaced in patches as it deteriorates. Plush carpet can also be called tradeshow carpet or exhibition flooring.
Event Carpet, brought to market by Reznick, is a special product designed to meet the needs of the event industry. It is very lightweight and has a plastic cover, which makes for easy load-ins and simplified production schedules. There is no need for binding, reducers, or any other carpet prep work. It has no pile height, which makes it practical for attendees wearing heels, pushing strollers, or in wheelchairs. It comes in a huge variety of colours to match your mood-board or corporate brand. It is the preferred carpet of the Toronto International Film Festival.
What do people use Event Carpet for?
Event Carpet can be a decorative element or a practical floor covering. It can be used indoors or outdoors on any dry surface. Event planners use it everywhere from red carpet premieres to trade show booths, as the flooring in a tent, to cover ugly convention center carpet, or to protect sensitive floors like tennis and basketball courts. Additionally, as decor, Event Carpet is used to add pops of colour, to reflect brand colours, to center and ground a lounge setting, or as a welcoming entry for your guests.
What is Black Tie Carpet?
Black Tie Carpet is an upgraded velour carpet with a low pile height and backing. It is soft and velvety, and a little bit more substantial than Event Carpet. It can be installed wall-to-wall or as an area carpet with bound edges for a neat finished look. We recommend Black Tie Carpet for luxury events, product activations, trade shows, multi-day events, high traffic areas, outdoor use, and wherever you might need a more durable event carpet.
The most awesome carpet ever created! An upgraded sparkly carpet where the shimmer is woven directly into the carpet. Diamond Carpet will elevate a step-and-repeat, define a luxurious lounge setting, glam up a simple aisle, and take a tent floor to the next level. Shine a light on this carpet and blow your clients away. Diamond Carpet comes in 6’6” width with a plastic cover.
Glitter Carpet is a collection of metallic carpets. This carpet has glitter appliqued directly onto the carpet. Available in classic colours, like gold, silver, black, and white, this carpet makes a glamorous statement for events that need to deliver on WOW factor. Use it as an entry runner for a glamorous introduction to your space or in front of a step and repeat to give your guests the celebrity treatment. The Glitter collection comes 13’ wide.
What is the difference between Diamond Carpet and Glitter Carpet?
Diamond and Glitter are both sparkling metallic carpets. Diamond is woven out of sparkly thread, whereas Glitter has sparkles that are applied via spray glue. This means that Diamond has a richer, denser, and more consistent metallic effect, while Glitter is bright and shiny and reflects more light. Diamond comes 6’6” wide with a plastic cover. Glitter comes up to 13’ wide without a plastic cover. Ultimately, both collections are beautiful and versatile, so your choice will be based on your own aesthetic preference and design scheme.
Artificial turf, or faux grass, is a quick and fantastic way to revamp a raw space into an aesthetically pleasing lush summer oasis. Our turf can be used indoors and outdoors for parties, corporate events, sports-themed events, product activations, and experiential marketing. Faux grass is not only ideal for events, but a brilliant solution for artificial pet grass or revitalizing balconies and backyards. We offer several grades of turf that balance cost and quality.
Questions About Branded Carpet
Can I get a carpet to match my brand?
Absolutely! Our 20+ event carpet colours do in fact match most major brand colours. Get your creative juices flowing and have some fun mixing-and-matching existing colours together to create your very own custom combinations. If your client requires a very particular shade, we can print the exact Pantone match within a 10% variance.
How do I mix and match carpets together?
To create a perfectly unique carpet for your event you can mix and match any of our carpets that are the same thickness. For reference, our Event Carpet, Diamond, Glitter, and Pattern Collections are all the same thickness. Whether it’s a border, logo, or your favourite emoji, we can make carpet magic happen!
How can I brand the carpet? Can I use my own logo?
Yes, you can! We have a lot of different ways you can make the carpet a unique and value-added branding piece. You can print a logo, mix and match existing carpets, and even print on our special carpet sticker vinyl. Request a quote for more details.
What is the normal size for a step-and-repeat?
Just like all our carpet, we can produce a step-and-repeat carpet at any size that you need. There’s no extra cost associated with custom sizes. The length will depend on the size of your step-and-repeat backdrop – we recommend making the carpet 2 feet longer than your banner so that it extends past the edge on both sides. The width will depend on how far back your photographer is standing – the further away, the bigger the width you need to avoid seeing empty floor at the front of the image. Common sizes for step-and-repeats, assuming an 8’ long banner, are 4’4” x 10’, 6’6” x 10’, and 8’ x 10’.
What product is best for my tradeshow booth?
For one tradeshow booth over a couple of days, Event Carpet, Glitter, and Diamond are colourful, versatile, and cost-effective. For tradeshows of a longer duration or for a reusable flooring for multiple shows, we recommend Black Tie Carpet, Faux Hardwood, and Faux Grass. These are thicker products that will stand up better to cleaning and to being removed and re-installed. For proper storage for reuse, roll your carpet back onto the cardboard roll core and bag in plastic.
What product is best for long-term use?
For long-term use, we recommend Black Tie Carpet, Faux Hardwood, Faux Grass, and Stage Top. All of these are more substantial products that stand up well to cleaning, as well as to being removed and reinstalled.
Can you match the carpet to my wedding stationary, moodboard, and decor?
Absolutely! We do this all the time. Choose a couple of your favourite products and we’ll send samples to your wedding planner or florist to evaluate in context with the rest of your event rentals. You can also send over any stationary or artwork collateral for us to print and/or customize your carpet.
Questions About Our Services
Why should I buy new and not rent a carpet?
You may have been searching for a red or black carpet rental but there’s actually a better option available for you! Traditional carpet rentals are the lowest grade commercial/interior carpet. Our event carpet is specially designed for the event industry. It looks better and costs less.
Can you cover existing carpet?
Yes, we can cover existing convention center, ballroom, or hotel carpets. We do this all the time. For best results, once we cover the existing carpet with event carpet, we require that nothing is rolled on the carpet. No dollies, skyjacks, or catering carts! Rolling carts will lead to buckling and rippling and ruin your look. Everything else about the install is normal – you can walk, dance, and load in as usual. In rare cases, the venue may not allow anyone to tape on their existing carpet so always ask your venue contact this question!
Can you cover sensitive floors? For example, heritage hardwood, marble, gym floors, basketball courts, tennis courts, and other types of delicate floor?
Absolutely! Over years of experience, we have developed many unique methods that allow us to install event carpet over all types of surfaces.
We use this method on the Toronto Raptors’ basketball court at the Scotiabank Arena and OVO Centre, so you can be assured that it has been thoroughly vetted and trusted. We always recommend doing a tape test and our technicians will work with you to make sure we get it right.
Can you install carpet outdoors?
Yes! We can install carpet on any clean and dry outdoor surface. On grass or loose gravel, we recommend upgrading to Black Tie or any product with a more substantial backing. We’ve even installed outdoors on ice on the Rideau Canal. Rest assured – we’ve seen it all! So don’t hesitate to send us an email or quote request with your outdoor carpet challenge.
What are pre-taped edges? Do I need that?
Our carpet is installed with double-sided tape. We apply it to the carpet, then pull off the liner, then apply the carpet to the floor. If you are installing the carpet yourself, we can pre-tape the carpet, so that you can skip step one and apply it directly to the floor.
I see you’re based in Canada. Do you ship to the US?
Yes, we do! We are based in Toronto. Due to the favorable CAD to USD exchange rate, we offer extremely competitive pricing for our US clientele. Request a quote that includes shipping. For large-scale work of 10,000 sq. ft. and above, we also have installation partners in many major cities.
